My dryer stopped heating last week, after checking everything out it came down to one of the coils being bad. I replaced both coils put everything together and now the dryer only turns on in air dry/cool down cycle. Can anybody help me out??? The dryer would work in all the cycles before i changed the coils. The symptoms I was having before is that the ignitor would light up put there was no gas from from the gas valve. I checked the coils with a ohm meter and the first coil was bad so thats why i changed both coils. I just find it weird that the dryer only works in that cycle and not in any other cycle. I also checked the timer and its good.

How did you disassemble the dryer for the repair you did? Which parts did you remove?

Gene.
