Dryer making a scraping sound for months. Today front seal came off When I take dryer apart is there any parts beside the front seal you recommend I replace while apart? When the gasket was in place what would have caused scraping sound when drum spins?

Very likely that sound was created by worn out glides (#3 at the diagram). There are two of them and they should be replaced together with the felt pads. Also it might be time for a new belt. Check and lubricate all rollers and idler pulley. Clean everything inside the dryer.

- The high temperature adhesive (for felt seal) Part number: Y055980

- The glide (order two) Part number: 37001298

- The felt pad (order two) Part number: 500121
