I have a Whrilpool (Modle # GHW9100LW1) front load washer that leaks. I have found the door seal is torn and I know where to order the replacement part. I want someone to tell me how to take the old one off and install the new one. I am trying to avoid taking parts off that I don't need to. Please help.

There is a wire spring that holds it on. Take this off and the boot will peel off. The problem is getting the new it back on. Have a helper, and a lot of patience and a good supply of cuss words.

Here is the service manual that will give you some pictures and some tips.
