Hi!

I have a Maytag Neptune front loading machine, and I've loved it. However...

The other day, I started washing a load of laundry. Unbeknowst to me, there were crews working on a water leak and had turned the water off at the street. (So, the washer didn't fill...).

I discovered there was no water, and turned the washer off. When the guys turned the water back on, I tried to start the washer again, but now I have a problem. The cold water will not fill. Warm water will fill on the wash cycle, but nothing will fill on the rinse cycle. I really need this to work, don't have a lot of money for repairs, and was wondering what you thought might be wrong (oh, and there are no kinks in the water line, and the filters are clear). My boyfriend believes it may be a cylanoid? Sellanoid? (I have zero idea of how to spell that).

Thank you in advance for your help.:)

Sandy,
If your friend is sure the hose screen and the fill valve screens are clear and clean, then you'd have to suspect the cold water solenoid on the fill valve has failed, and you'll need to replace the fill valve.
Also have your friend, attach a hose to the faucet, and run both the water faucets for a minute or two, to flush out any residue in the water pipes, so the screens don't re clog too soon.

Thanks,
:) :) :) :)
