Question
having problems with the burner remaining lit for more than 10 -15 Seconds.

Have purchased and changed the complete burner but still have initial start up problem - igniter glows, initial firing of the burner with a good strong blue flame. 10 - 15 seconds the gas valve closes and flame out. Allow to set 2-3 minutes and restart with the same results. I would guess Flame sensor or thermo limiters may be the cause. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hello.

First we need to determine if the problem within the dryer or not.
Disconnect the vent from the dryer and run it with normal load.
If it dries OK- problem with the vent.

Very short gas on cycle normally points to air flow restriction.

Post the result.

Dryer vent is not blocked and have disconnected vent and run test in to open laundary room. Same results, Igniter glows, gas valve opens, have proper blue flame for 10 - 15 seconds then fire out. after about 1.5 minutes cycle starts again.

Hello.

First check the lint screen and the blower wheel housings for any restrictions.
Than put a jumper across the hi limit thermostat (see diagram#3 part#36).

Run it and post the results.

The thermostat Part number: AP2975888
