My Superba Kitchenaid ice maker is making ice, but is not ejecting the ice. The plastic fingers rotate to the point where the ice is sitting on top of the ice chipper, but not falling to the ice bin. The optics of the ice maker work normally, (blink when door open, steady light when flapper is shut.). I am trying to determine if I need to order a thermostat, ice mold or new ice maker?

Thanks,

Dean

Repairman,

Thanks for the advice and referencing the repair guide. I will follow the repair guide recommendation and test to see if the module or thermostat need replacing.

Keep in mind - there is relatively low success rate on ice makers repair. Very often it is more cost efficient and much more reliable to replace the whole ice maker.
