The dishwasher runs but doesn't drain. I have to siphon the water out of the tub after it finishes it complete wash cycle. The water in the tub is then still dirty, so I have to complete the job with two siphon and rinse cycles.

One more step I have to take every so often is to remove the water from the pan under the tub otherwise the washer won't allow any water in.

Any suggestions? Is it a sensor problem, or is there a separate drain pump and that's faulty?

One more problem is that Bosch won't release their circuit diagrams to me, so I'm working in the dark.

The model number you provided is incorrect.

Thanks, Gene, for your response. You're right. The model number I quoted is wrong. The right one is SHX46L05UC.

Possible a foreign objects inside the drain hose or the drain pump.

Also possible water leak under the dishwasher.

Remove the toe kicks and inspect for the water leaks and/or water marks.

Disconnect the drain hose from the air gap, put it in a bucket and run the drain cycle.

Post your findings.

Hi Gene,

Thanks for your suggestions.

There are no water leaks on the floor. The pan under the tub collects water, however, so after about three rinse and siphon-drain cycles I have to remove some of it otherwise the tub won't fill.

There is no air gap. The drain hose runs right into the waste disposal unit. I disconnected the hose at that point and directed it into a bucket. No water came out when the washer ran.

I also blew into the end of the drain hose and could hear bubbles in the water in the tub, so I guess there's no blockage.

That covers your questions. What next?

Sincerely,

Michael Burrows
