We bought our fridge September 2003. Within a couple of years the ice maker stopped working. We lived w/that not working. A few weeks ago the water stopped dispensing from the door. That was annoying.

HOWEVER about a week ago, the fridge stopped cooling and the freezer stopped being cold. We are frustrated. We have our house up for sale and don't want to buy another stainless steel fridge to replace this one (the cost would be over $2K). What parts do we need to get to get everything working again? HELP IS DESPERATELY NEEDED.

*Note: The refrigerator is immaculate. We regularly clean it inside and out (even the backside). The water filter is changed when it supposed to be changed. We are at a loss.

Not running: the compressor (windings are good), ice maker (husband thinks it's the water valve - not sure how to test water valve).

There's a leak inside the body of the fridge (inside the back panel). What's the easiest way to get the panel off to find the leak.

Things that are still running: fans, lights.

Sorry, my husband isn't telling me much.

Take a look at the compressor in theback. If warm, but not vibrating, remove it's side cover and pry off the start device. If it rattles when its shaken, Order a new one AP3962960
