i have never connected the ice maker or water dispenser before i havwe had the refrigerator in the basement beiong stored . i am using it now the door water dispenser is giving water however the ice maker is not making ice the lever is iin the on position yet the ice maker has not filled up or made any ice its been 20 hours

What is the temp in the freezer section?

i set it all the way up on E setting the coldest , I TURNED IT BACK DOWN TO d it was running all the time . i had hope when it got cold enough it would start working . it doesnt cycle doesnt fill with water . thank you for your reply

If the ice maker cycles the freezer is cold enough.
Could be some air in the line.

shouldnt the ice maker still cycle with lever going up and down .isnt that mechanical? how do i get air out of line ? if air out of line how will that make the ice maker function .?
