So my dishwasher stopped heating the water adequately and an error code "2" came up after the self test. Repair guy charged me $80 to tell me the control board was "burnt" and needed to be replaced. Total cost (including his "diagnostic" fee) would be $310. Turns out it was only a burnt solder joint on the circuit board and for $25 I fixed it myself. It was very easy. I think Bosch is aware of the problem but wants to ignore it and maybe it'll go away. If you have the same issue, I can walk you through the repair.

Hi,

Great info. It's always a good idea to take a minute and look for a bad solder connection before replacing any electronic board.

I often find broken solder joints at the plugs that the wire harness plug into.
