My wife was cooking dinner and the oven was working fine. She heard a loud pop and when she looked in the direction of the oven she noticed that the digital display was no longer working. We opened the oven door and the elements were no longer heating. The cooktop elements are still working and do not seem to have any issues.

What part would have gone out in a manner that it caused an audible pop and shut down the oven and control panel?

I have seen oven element 'pop' and take the clocks out. Take a close look at the bake element with a flashlight to see if you notice any damage.

Sorry, should have included that in the original post. We have had to replace the element twice before on this model and that was the first thing I looked at and found no damage to the elements at all.

I went ahead and took the back panel off the oven, and I found the circuit board on the back of the clock had black burn marks on it next to one of the capacitors. I am pretty sure that is what popped and what needs to be replaced and I ordered the part this morning.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it.

Good find, let us know if that fixes it.
