I have a challenge with my
Frigidaire/electrolux front-load washing machine.
Model GLTF670ASO
Serial XC33816083

I purchased it in 10/2005 from a store, no longer in business.
It has been making more noise on the spinning cycle.
Last night it sounded like gravel was tumbling in the drum (no gravel) and there was grease spots on the load of laundry. The water spun out effectively.I waited for cycle to end.
I unplugged the machine.
I am concerned it may require extensive repair, that the repair is well out of my range of skills, and therefore may not be cost-effective to repair. Any clues as to what may  need replacement?

I cannot get your model number to come up, even on the Frigidaire site.

However based on what you have described it is likely your rear bearings have failed, in which case your observation that it is not cost effective to repair is correct.

If you want to investigate further, take off the back and look around, and if you see something you want to ask about, post back, and check to see if you have the right model number.

Sorry for the bad news.
