Hi My washer would not spin. I finaly got it to spin after I manualy twisted the tub around a few times. It feels stiff. When it did finaly spin and the tub was slowing down it sounded as though it was binding with something. It was not smooth. I looked under the washer and saw some grease that appears to be comming from the gear case. Could the gear case be my problem or could something else be the problem and be the cause of the gear case leak?

MOST of those gearcases leak a little!!!!! Check for a small article of clothing either stuck at the top of the tub, OR under the agitator:)
