my agitator never stops runing continues the whole wash also if i set my washer to "example' regular washing cycle it will complete the cycle and continue to the next "gentle wash" this sounds like a timer switch problebm but would the agitator running non-stop be a timer switch problem aswell??

Go ahead and change out the timer to see if that will fix your problems. It should definitely fix the timer running continually problem.
