I have a Kenmore oven, model number 362.75205891. The 4 surface burners all light with no problems. The oven will not ignite however. I was going to order a new igniter, but it seems to be working fine. It glows and gets quite hot, but the gas does not seem to be turning on. Is there a heat sensor somewhere that is not detecting that the igniter is working? Or do I really have a igniter problem?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

The igniter is most likely still your problem even though it is glowing. If your igniter is round it must pull between 2.5 and 3 amps to open the gas valve. If your igniter is flat it must pull between 3.4 and 3.6 amps to open the gas valve. If you don’t have an amp-meter then I suggest replacing the igniter because it’s your most likely cause.
