Hello: The main (and only) knob/dial on the front of our washer broke off (the plastic piece on the knob itself that goes around the metal control dial). Maytag says you have to buy the whole panel (W10369605) for $278. Wow, just to get a little plastic knob? Anyone have any cheaper alternatives? Thanks in advance...

I am not getting your model number to come up, so check it and repost, or better yet call this site, APP and talk to their parts people. They will give you the straight scoop on what you need to do.

If you need more assistance, repost with what they told you, and check the model number again.
