Washer stops mid cycle

The door lock light remains on but the washer stops in mid cycle. If I push on the door and hold it then the cycle continues. I replaced the door latch because one prong was broken off but it didn't fix the problem.

Sounds very much like some loose wiring in the door lock assembly which leads to the control unit. Check it out for continuity and good connections.
