The old ice maker was "peeling" black plastic pieces from the ice bin into the cubes, so I replaced the unit. The new unit does not work properly. The tray fills, ice is formed, but the unit does not eject any ice. The shut off arm is in the correct position; the ejector travels past the ice strippers and into the mold assembly, where the process stops with no ice being ejected.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Make sure all you connections are tight, if they aren't the little heater inside the icemaker may not heat to melt the ice enough to kick out.
