For the last few months, my washer would fill and then stop. I could hit the top right front of the lid then it would work. Last night, it started to fill with water and then stopped after about 2 seconds now I cannot get it to do anything. I think it is the timer, but how can I be sure before I spend money on a part that cannot be returned. The timer would not move on or make any noise.

Sometimes these lid switches come loose, just check the switch behind the control panel, part #AP4008646
