Does anyone know the process involved in replacing the bake burner ignitor in a whirlpool gold gas range? I want to save myself some $$$ by replacing it myself. We have determined that the ignitor is the faulty part because it clicks properly but does not spark and the broil burner does work. According to the troubleshooting manual, the bake ignitor is the issue. I have gained access to the ignitor but cannot tell how to replace it. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks.

If you can see the ignitor, there is screws that mounts it to the burner assembly. Just remove the screws and unplug the wires, and reinstall with the new ignitor. This job is not to hard. Here is a link to the parts diagram page, as well as the part number. Hope this helps! Good Luck! Part number: AP3594295
