The machine won't spin or agitate. I don't know how to assemble it to inspect it.

If you insert a screw driver or flat bladed knife in the gap between the top and front near the edges (look at the gap and you will see the clips) you can release the clips that hold the top down. It will then swing up.

I would check the lid switch first.
