Our 4 year old Kenmore Range displays both an F7 & 10 code on the touch panel. The range beeping can be turned off, it will clear when you touch the On/Off, then it will reappear in 15 – 30 seconds. The Range is Not operable. But the Oven works fine. A sears service technician said to replace the board part # 316442040 which I have done. However, this has not solved the problem. I am attaching a picture of the touch panel & fault codes displayed.

The serial # is NF63930191
And Model # 790.46713602

I appreciate you help,

Thanks

Barry,

This is not what I want to tell you but,
With your description, the oven works , but the cooktop doesn't, makes me wonder.

The F7 code indicates a problem with the self clean door latch assembly switches or wiring, but if that were the case, the oven would'nt work.

I can only guess, since I can't find that fail code,

Your problem is either in the burner control board, or the touchpanel/keypad assembly.

You may want to wait, and see if you get a response from someone else on the repair forum, who has more information and data.
