dryer runs about 45 min(even empty) stops spinning... timer ticks and moves re starts itself after about 10 min(without pushing start again) and finishes cycle. was very linty. vacced all out but still does.. seeing that timer still operates and re starts on ownseems like something thinking over heat????? will thermal fuse auto reset? or just blow? and will that still keep timer going? thanks

If it will not start right after it fails, probably a bad motor. AP3094245

does motor itself have a self contained thermal fuse etc .motor not noisey or anything.i am thinking does seening re starts without having to push start again. seem to act like a auto rests roll out switch would act on a furnace. thanks again for any help

There is a thermal cutout in the motor that trips if it overheats and will auto reset once the motor cools down, maybe 20 minutes.

ok thanks. that explains why i dont have to restart. i will still try to double check by tryin to get to stop again and make sure power still running to motor. thanks again
