Problem: Gas range...When the oven is on the surface burners will not light. It is as if the fuel is all directed to the oven and none is getting to the surface burners....When you turn off the oven, the surface burners light ok.

Any ideas from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would say that the ignitor in the oven is weak, and it is not opening the gas valve ebnough so it is hogging the gas. I would change out the ignitor. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
