The left stove top burner is spouting flames around the base.
Serial # 07C532785027. Should we order Part Number: AP287876
made by MAYTAG for the burner? Any advice on installing?

I can not tel if this is the right part because the model number you posted does not come, probably due to age. Call the customer service at 877-477-7278, ask for Adam and he will help you.
