I have a Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer (side-by-side) Model FRS6LR5EM6 with ice and water dispenser. The burned out light bulb for the water dispenser broke during removal. The space is so cramped that I cannot use needle-nose pliars to remove the broken base from the socket. The only solution as I see it is to remove the socket from its mounting;however, I cannot determine how to do it. The Tech diagrams just aren't very helpful in this respect.

Thanks,

Try this first: Remember the "potato trick"? A raw potato cut to fit and jammed into a standard light socket to remove a broken bulb. Do the same thing, except cut a piece of raw carrot. Jab it into the broken bulb and push it in while turning in the removal direction of the bulb. If it works, you will have saved yourself a "bunch" of time. (Pun offered for free).
