Dont have much info yet.
But next weekend will check out brothers stove.
This does not make sense.
You can turn on all stove top burners at one time. All work. But if you put a pot on one they all will go out, then after a few minutes come back on
Could the elements be bad?
Electric stove.

Thanks

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the stove. If it's build in a counter top - look on the bottom panel.

Gene.

I realize that but was trying to have an idea of what most likely it could be on a freestanding range. As long as I have to go over there ( they are now out of town) I would like to at least try to troubleshoot it on the first trip.
Has anybody ever heard of this happening with any stove top and what the problem was.
The way I see this is that it has to be the elements, the sockets or the wireing. No way is it possiable for putting a pot on the stove top to effect the temp control or anything before that. Right?
Dont see how it would be possibale to be anything else no matter what brand stove.
This is just a low end GE stove.
This has to be a short somewhere just never heard of this happening before and trying to guess where to look first.
Thanks for any ideas.
