Need help-
I was recently informed by a technician that my KithcenAide "42" built-in refrigerator needs to have my control board repaired. I can order this part on Appliance Part Pros for $137.88 (CNTRL-ELEC #AP3962998), but need to know if I'm able to fix myself? The technician wanted to charge me $350.00 for the part and another $300.00 for labor. Can you please let me know if this is a job I can fix by myself having the part, or do I need to have a technician install for me. Please advise.

You have a adaptive defrost board in the control housing AP3772918 that might be bad. What are the syptoms?

The symptoms are the freezer is not freezing and the refrigerator is not cooling down enough. The compressor and fan are both working properly. Hope this information helps. Thanks.

You might have refrigeration problems. Pull the back freezer panel and describe the frost pattern. If entirely frozen, you have a defrost problem, not a control problem.
