I just replaced the mode shifter (shaft and tube), I'm having a hard time reinstalling the hub nut on my tub using the cheap spanner wrench.

Do you have any hub nut installation tips (how much do you turn it down?)

If you are talking about the spanner wrench I think you are talking about it comes with an attachment to fit the GE spanner nut. You turn is as hard as you can with a big hammer. You can’t over tighten it.
