I have an Ebac Triton industrial dehumidifier that I use in my basement. It is several years old and has performed well up to now. I recently had new freon added (I had a service valve installed) and wonder if they did something to screw it up.

The compressor runs but about every 90-120 seconds, it clicks off then immediately restarts (the fan doesn't even stop spinning). It's very annoying and I'd like to figure out what's wrong. I had the capacitor checked and there's nothing wrong with it. Maybe a bad switch somewhere? Any ideas? Thanks.

Possible they overcharged the unit and it is tight.

Thanks for the suggestion. So I should take it back and tell them to recheck the pressure?
