I recently moved to a new house and my dryer trips the breaker. The dryer works fine with damp clothes or dry clothes, but if I put in a load straight from the washing machine, the dryer trips the breaker in about 5 minutes.

If the dryer worked fine in the old house then the first failure suspect is the circuit breaker.
What is the complete model number of the dryer?

I would lift the top of the dryer and look for a partially shorted heater.
