Water is not draining in the basin. I've taken apart all I can inside the waher and cleaned it but to no avail. It looks like a hose is connected to the disposal, do I take the disposal out and clean it? Wife's getting on me....please help!:)

I believe this may be a Maytag dishwasher ?

Yes, you should remove(disconnect) the drain hose from the disposal and try to drain the unit into a bucket, if it drains, the problem is Not in the dishwasher, or if it was clogged in the hose or pump that will clear it.

If it still does not drain then the problem is most likely a damaged drain impeller.

Please supply a proper model number if more assistance is needed.

The serial tag is usually attached to the side or top of the tub with the door open, you should be able to find it there or in the same location on the door.

We really cant efficiently help without it, any thing else would only be a guess.:o

Did you try to drain the dishwasher into a bucket ?(previous post)

I'm still having a problem with the model and serial number,

I'll need to research this some more.

Again, try draining the unit into a bucket, and let us know what occurs.

I think I figured it out, I found a little marble in the propeller area. I think it was jamming it up. I blew it all out and flushed it, ect. It seems to work now! Thanks for you help! Stuart
