My ice maker stopped working so I had a repair man come out and look at the appliance. The ice maker had made ice while the shut off arm was off. I took the cap off of the motor and noticed that the gear for the motor was no longer moving and would not move. He said that it was the motor for the ice maker. I called and ordered and then installed part number AP4359694 (W10190935) for the motor. I've followed the instructions on how to install the ice maker motor, and after 6 hours, it is still not making ice.

If you could please enlighten me as to how to check for an alternative cause and maybe shed some additional light on installing the motor to see if there is anything I might have missed I would appreciate it. Thank you.
