My whirlpool accubake oven will not work properly. Initially the oven will turn on but 25 minutes later it will shut off completely. I replaced the thermostat but still have the same problem. I was told to replace the spark module. Can anybody help me, please?

Your spark module would be the most likely problem. You will find that component located up inside the contol panel / console of to the right side of the area.

I have attached a picture and part number for reference

Part number: AP3672576

Just to add my 2 cents...

You may want to check the Bake burner as described in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...e-will-not-stay-lit.html

Gene,
Thanks for the reminder, I guess I'm a little rustier than I thought.

Thank you so much! I inspected the Bake burner and check the lighting holes. The burner had eight holes and I enlarged them using a drill bit one size bigger. I turned on my oven for about 2 hours straight and it works just fine. It never cut out. Once again, Thank you so much. :)

Hello Gene,

After I had enlarged the lighting holes and the oven worked fine for about two weeks. Then it began to shut off on its own after twenty minutes. So I replaced the spark module but it is still shutting off after twenty minutes. After the twenty minutes I would hear the oven click, the flame ignite, three clicks and then it shuts off. What do you recommend? Do you think it could be the control unit?

Respectfully,
Peter San Agustin

Hi Peter,

I would replace the Bake burner assembly. It comes together with the igniter.
