Hi, Hope you can help
I replaced the broken drive motor coupling at the same time I removed the basket and agitator - for reasons I should not have done... but got everything back ok, but now when the controller tells it to spin, it tries and makes a quiet sound, but does not move. If I get it going with a little push ( against the inside of the basket - pushing it in the direction is should go) it takes off fine and gets up to normal spin speed.
What happened that I now have to do this? Had to be how I put something back together....
Any ideas?
Thanks Matt

Matt,
I would verify the drive block installation.

Matt,
Agitation has nothing to do with the drive block. The drive block connects the inner tub to the spin tube.

Matt,
If you'll post the complete model number of the washer, I can find the breakdown diagrams.

Gene,
Thanks for taking the time to do this!
The model # is (L I) R9245B00 SERIAL # CD4404212
I think there is an L, but looks to be partly under a rivet, not sure if there is an "I" or a deep scratch. #'s are really faded
What is it about the motor block that may not allow the washer to spin? - What happens with that?
Thanks again
Matt

Matt, The drive (not motor) block is shown as #15 on the diagram. It's connecting the basket to the spin tube. There is also the spanner nut (#12) which has to be tighten properly. It needs a special spanner wrench. The drive block and the spanner nut pictures: Gene.
