My washer will not spin or drain. The wash cycle works just fine. I did some research and assumed it was the lid switch. When testing the switch, it came apart. Is this a do it yourself job? Can I replace this switch myself? I would appreciate any assistance!

You can either take the whole cabinet off to do it. Or, you can cut the wires, and wire nut the new one in. Which is easier for the novice, and will work fine. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Tom ApplianceEducator.com Thanks for the assistance Tom. I took the cabinet off and replaced the entire switch assembly. I did not want to cut any wires. It was not that difficult. It only took me about 30 minutes.
