I have a fairly new GE Top load washer that is being very temperamental, It will fill with water, and then sometimes will go through the entire cycle and finish, other times it will not do anything. Sometimes when it just fills, if you unplug for a while, and then plug it back in, it will complete the wash, other times, it will not. And then there are times when it did not finish, and it had been unplugged for a while and plugged back in, and nothing, then hours later, it will kick in and decide to finish the cycle.
I did replace the locking mechanism on the top cover as the switch was bad. But at a loss at what else it could be. Now there have been a couple of times that there I have heard a horrible sound coming from it, like a bad grinding noise.
Thanks for any advice.
