This is kind of an ongoing issue with my Maytag mvwc360aw0 Top Load Centennial. It's in a main floor bathroom and when we run it we close the door. When we open the door there is a noticeable smell of burning/hot motor smell. It get's worse if more loads are done consecutively. I put it up on a platform (so I can see underneath) and ran a medium size load last night and the motor was too hot to touch after 20 minutes, and it was even hotter by the end of the load. It never faults and always completes the load. The plastic belt/motor cover was all full of grease/oil that I assume dripped out of the motor when it gets so hot. What can cause the motor to get so hot? I have not tried an empty load yet. It appears to be shifting OK but has always sounded like the motor is working too hard during agitation. It was my Mom's for the first year of its life then became mine. She never complained about it but it was in a wide open basement and she did maybe 1 load a week.

Thanks,
Chris
