The red oven temperature display on the cotrol module of this 30" dual fuel oven has gradually faded until the numerals are no longer visible. The green times display is fine. Does the whole control unit have be replaced (Bosch AP2836528) or are there sub-components that can be replaced? Hoe difficult is to replace the control unit. Many thanks, Robert

The correction in such case is to replace the whole Electronic Range Control. The part number you posted is correct. This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. You can find the complete instructions attached to this reply.

Update: I successfully removed the control panel and will be sending it for repair.

Thanks again for the doc file!

I have a similar problem with my Thermador RDSS30, the display is very faded, but everything else works okay.

Would you please let me know which part(s) I need to fix this problem? Would the same removal instructions you attached in your previous post apply to my situation?

Do you have any online videos (on YouTube) that show the repair steps?

Thanks for your help!
