I have a 7 year old GE Profile PDW9880J10SS dishwasher that just had the module control assembly fail. It literally melted, as I left power applied for about an hour after I 1st smelled that something had burned. As a result, the main wiring harness that plugs into the ~1x9 white header in the center, burned and is damaged. I say ~9 pin because I have only the charred remains of the assembly in front of me, and it looks like the distance between the missing and still present pins is 1.20", with 0.150" pin spacing.

Therefore, in addition to the assembly, WD21X10219, I need either a new wire harness or at least the connector. No harness is listed in the parts list or shown in any of the diagrams. Is this something that I can buy? If not, how do I get info on the connector and where to buy it?

Yes, unfortunately you are absolutely right. No wires or wire harness listed as a spare parts. I would suggest to call GE and discuss it with their customer relations department.

Gene, I'm so glad you suggested contacting GE. I went to the website to get a contact number and checked their recall list. It turns out that a recall for this problem was issued in Oct 2010; I thought my product was registered, but I'm not aware of ever receiving a recall notice. So now GE will repair my dishwasher at their cost. Sorry it cost Appliance Parts Pros a part sale.
