When you open the door on the refer side it pops and cracks bad. What to do?

Clean the gasket all the way around.
Rub a little vaseline along the hinge side of the gasket, just in case it is sticking.
Check at the bottom of the door hinge, often they have a plastic cam that helps the door stay closed, may be broken.
