You have to keep the motor from spinning (there are flats on the shaft on which you can use a wrench), and turn the blower wheel clockwise to thread off the shaft.

Do not be surprised if it will not come off.
It is very common for it to seize on the shaft.

Personally, for the cheap cost of a blower wheel, I find a 3lb hammer smash right in the center of the wheel does the trick!!!! Tom ApplianceEducator.com
