Please help. I have a 1969 Frigidaire Deluxe Cookmaster oven that needs a replacement thermostat. The part has been discontinued and I am told it cannot be rebuilt because it is a self cleaning model I have searched high and low online but to no avail. My questions are: 1) does anyone stock old parts (even discontinued parts) like this. 2) could my thermostat be rebuilt but without the self cleaning function? 3) I believe the thermostat for the NON-self cleaning deluxe cookmaster IS available. Could it be substituted and I just wouldn't be able to use the self cleaning feature? Help me save my oven please! Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!

I may have a couple of leads but I need you to re-check your model number.
The 5300 number you posted looks like one of thier part numbers instead of the model.

Update: I found a place that actually rebuilds thermostats for vintage
ranges. They claim to be able to rebuild 99 percent of them from the
1920s to 1990s. Here's their address..
Thermostats rebuilt, Thermostats restored

Hope this helps

You are right, i listed the part # instead of the model #. the model # is RBE-97N-CH. any leads appreciated. Thanks for the link to the old stove club, I had seem them on line while doing my research, but thought they couldn't help because of the self cleaning issue. I will contact them and see.
