The dishwasher was responding sporadically to changes in the cycle and options. When I'd run the normal cycle, after several minutes into the cycle, the DW would cancel and drain.

I read in another forum entry about a similar problem, so after cleaning the ribbon connectors and checking that all the membrane switches were working properly with an ohmmeter, I ordered a replacement controller from this site.

Now when I install the new controller, I get an entirely different set of symptoms. It always starts in Instant wash, and I can only change cycles once to Normal. Then nothing works. I can't change any options. The display only shows one led segment.

I tried to activate the self test, and that doesn't do anything.

Putting my original controller back in, I get my original symptoms.

Do you think I got a bad replacement controller?
