Hi,
I have a sharp R967 microwave oven,grill and convention.

The timer stops after 59 seconds no matter what time is set and you have to press start again.
I was told it was the damper motor that needed replaced.
I bought one and replaced it and the timer now works but this motor opens a plastic door and it not working correctly.
I think this is because the orientation of the motor is not correct.
My question is - Should this door venting the oven be closed when switched off and open when on.
If I know this then I can set the door to the correct position and adjust the motor to work correctly.
