The over phone lg helper told me the fan has an ice built up
The temperature indicator screen is no longer viewable b/c of err message
The lg refrigerator default is set are at 37
Fridge at 0 degree

error message over the phone trouble shoot is follow:
I turned off the unit for 4 hrs
And turned it back on. The err 1f message was gone for 30 min and turned back on. It was very sad moment.

Now it is time to have a technician out.
They usu charge $100 for diagnostic
I recommend buying extended warranty on any LG appliances.

Lg technician will b here soon.
He said the fan Motor and ice maker will be replaced.
I will post more info as I know more in three days.

Hello. The "ER IF" code is an error code for the ice maker fan [AP4440210]. Before any parts are replaced, I recommend to remove the fan cover and verify no frost build-up is interfering with the fan operation. If there is frost present, clear any frost with a hair dryer and reassemble. Turn on the ice maker and see if the fan blows air into the ice room. If not, the fan has failed.

The front door display keeps going to an error message "Er IF" and does not allow options to be chosen (switching fom cube ice, crushed ice, or water; fridge / freezer tmp). Unplugging the fridge resets the display but the error returns after a couple of hours. Also it appears the in-door ice maker is not making ice and is leaking water.
