Therre is a tray of frozen ice but it hasnt dispensed a tray in 2 days. Therre is also a ice tray sensor on the inside door and a on off switch with a flashing red light on the other side that flashes in pairs when the freezer door is open. Could one or both of these be the problem...both seem easy to replace. thanks Bill

Freezer temp is at 0 degrees and it checks out. I have heard the ice dispensing now but its exceedingly slow

Check the freezer temp. It should be around 5 to 10 degrees.

Does the water freeze? Is this a new ice maker?

Thanks Woodchuckie...was able to find the 3 screws and replace the unit. Unfortunately still doesnt make ice so guess i need to troubleshoot further. Tray fills with water but seems that it may be sensing that the door icebucket is full....when its empty. Thanks again

Yours looks like the kind that hangs on the side wall with a bracket. You loosen two top and one bottom screw and lift the ice maker off the bracket and then unplug the wiring harness.

Can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the icemaker unit on a sears kenmore elite side by side with on the door ice dispenser. I could remove the icemaker door but the icemaker itself is another story. Thanks Bill
