CD, Your post description, leads us to believe you have a drain pump issue
Part number: AP4035317
Part number: AP4035317

The screeching/buzzing noise and no drain, would indicate the assembly has failed or may be clogged with debris. The pump is located in the right rear corner of the base area, you'll need to slide the washer out, remove the rear access panel, and the assembly will be located on the left side of the opening , down on the base.
