Hi,

I have a problem with the water temperature selector on my washing machine. It only has hot water for the rinse cycle. I did a little troubleshooting.

Wash cycle
Hot => cool water
Cold => hot water
Rinse cycle, only hot water

I reversed the hot and cold at the water inlet.

Wash cycle
Hot, warm, and cool => warm to hot
Cold => cold water
Rinse cycle
Cold => cold water

I initially thought it was the water inlet value until I did the reversal test. So is the problem with some temperature sensor or control circuit? If so what part do I need and can someone provide some instructions on the repair procedure? I've replaced water pumps and timers on other units so I should be able to do this myself.

Thank you,
