I would take the bottom panel off. if you have a meter find the water valve connection. Run your leads to each side and have your meter on ac voltage. If the voltage reading stops after a few min of filling but the valve keeps pumping water then you have a bad water valve that is staying open. If wv and float checks good then it gonna be in the control panel

If it keeps filling and overflows odds are that the water inlet valve needs replacing.

If it keeps filling but the water is stopped by the overfill switch then probably the timer is toast.
